Second post of the day? haha! yes. i am so in the mood to write these days. but now, i don't really have anything specific in my mind, i just wanna scribble. can i? of course i can. this is my very own corner which i do not need any permission by anyone. period.
I read a hadith earlier today, and its about mouth and genitals. and it is as below :
Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi, Narrated Abu Hurayrah Transmitted by Tirmidhi
The Prophet (S)was asked about the things which would enable most people to enter Paradise. He answered: Being careful about one's obligations to Allah, and good behaviour. Thereafter, he was asked: What are those things which will lead a person into Hell? He answered: His mouth and genitals
reading this hadith made me freak out. and once a beloved ustaz in my hometown, we called him Ustad Ahmad. He said, once he went to his teacher's grave to recite yassin years ago, and when he sat reading yassin, he could hear screams coming from the graves. i mean, from those inside the graves. and he mostly heard women screams. i shivered once i heard this. and one of his students question him why? and he said, because women love to gossip and backbitting. nauzubillah!!!!
however, there are heaps of people i know, that superficially seems to be really religious. Sadly, they didnt really bother about whats out from their mouth. I streamed Imam Siraj Wahaj's lecture on youtube, he mentioned that he refuses to talk alot and prefer to keep everything brief and short even when he deliver his lectures. reason being, he is afraid that he might offend or hurt any individual. He also mentioned, the more and the longer we speak, the higher risk that we might offend someone.
back to these people i know, i am not saying that they are not getting the concept of being religious, but maybe not implementing it well enough?
Okay, what i mean here is, for example, you go to islamic lectures, going to this ustad's islamic talk, another ustad's talk, here and there, you definitely know the consequences of backbiting and manipulating stories, right? however, you still do it? so what do you actually implement from the islamic talks?
As our age escalates according to time, we should relatively improve ourself. we should be careful of what we say to people. we should fear ALLAH for His punishments.
Our Prophet Muhammad SAW said in his hadith ;
"SPEAK GOOD OR BE SILENT"
